Children are creative. They explore. The go into places no adult would want or dare to go. Because of that we must watch out for children at play.
It is not just bags that present danger to children. Actually, many things are dangerous. Even children playing at hide and seek might want to hide in narrow spaces, spaces too narrow to come out of. This year alone, I have read of two children, each from a different country, squeeze themselves into tiny openings between two walls or partitions to hide themselves from their playmates to find themselves unable to get out of the places. The authorities had to be summoned to help with their axes and hammers.
Coming back to the topic of bags, there was the kid who had this plastic bag which he thought could be used to cover himself. Fate was unkind to him and the parents found the poor child suffocated.
The other day, a friend told me about a neighbour who left her two children in the house while she went elsewhere. The younger sibling decided to hide from the sister by entering a big bag and somehow managed to close it. Or was it the sister who noticed him getting into the bag and closed him inside? This is more probable as it would be difficult to lock oneself in. Anyway, the sister panicked when she found she could not unlock the bag to get her brother out. Her screams of fear attracted the attention of this friend. He went to investigate and found the child locked inside the bag. And the bag was one of those which had combination locks which could only be opened if you know the numbers.
Unable to open the bag, this friend quickly phoned the neighbour to tell her the predicament. However, as she could not remember the combinations, the only way was to break open the bag with a big chisel. Fortunately, he managed to break it open for the young boy to escape from suffocation. The young boy was already weak and sweating by the time he was rescued.
Of course, anything that can be entered and become too difficult to escape from because the door can be too tight or locked is a danger to adventurous children. There was a case of a child trapped in a refrigerator. I cannot remember what happened after that but that is immaterial. The fact is such things can become a danger to our children.
Well, it is obvious that children ought to be taught the danger of playing with such things. Tell them about these things whenever there is news of such dangers. Direct their attention to such dangers and tell them the consequences. Explain to them what can possibly happen when children like them play with such things.
Some people say children are too young to learn such things. That is just not true. Children are clever and can understand such dangers if parents take the trouble to slowly and painstakingly explain with lots of examples how death can occur and what death means; the lost chance to see the siblings and parents as well as their friends, the lost chance to enjoy the many things in life. Use examples that they can understand. If they like ice-cream, tell them there will be no more opportuity to enjoy ice-cream. If they love their grandma, they not have the chance to be hugged and loved by their grandma. These are things children will understand.

Have the right tools for the job.
This evening, at about 4 o'clock, three friends of mine went together with me on a hike into unknown territory at the hill. It had been raining before we reached the hill. Despite the rain, we decided to go ahead with our plan to discover a certain area some Hash House members have been planning to go. We were told it would be interesting terrain with unfamiliar paths, slopes and further than the usual routes we have explored, perhaps needing approximately two and a half hours for fit hikers.
I had on a fairly cheap China-made, studded shoes for hiking while the others have their more expensive trekking shoes. Anyway, I was comfortable with my pair and was making good speed. across and over the hill. Then we reached a place where we had to climb up a steep slope with wet, yellow, clayey soil. It is here that my pair of cheap hiking shoes prove themselves to be very suitable for their grip on the thick, slippery clay.
One of the friends who had a more expensive pair of shoes found that his shoes could find no grip on the slippery slope and fell a number of times. Each slope that presented no plant or tree for him to grip onto caused him great concern for his safety. It was only with great difficulty that he eventually reached the top.
It was a lesson for him as he realised his shoes were just not good enough for the job. Yes, in difficult places, the right shoes for the type of slopes are indeed important.
With the ease with which I trekked together, it reaffirmed the fact that it is the right type of soles of the shoes that matters and not the price. That, in fact, has been known to me for some times, as I also have shoes that cost five to six times as much as my present pair and they are seldom used; used only when I am sure the path will not be too slippery and the grip on the ground would not be a problem.
I believe it is not just shoes when it comes to suitability of tools or equipment in any activity. Suitability is in fact of utmost importance in practically every sphere of life.

Regurgitation of milk by babies can be dangerous.
Recently, a baby died in the afternoon after taking his milk. It is obvious from this case that anything not done properly, possibly without the right knowledge, can be dangerous.
This seven-month old baby is believed to have choked on the milk given to him. Therefore mothers and care-givers must be equipped with the proper knowledge of taking care of babies.
In this case, the baby had just been given his milk and upon finishing it had immediately been left to lie down in his cot. There is this probability of the baby having regurgitate the milk. If the milk returned to the mouth while it was lying down on his back, it could choke the baby. This regurgitating of milk often happens and care-givers or parents must be prepared for it. To be safe, the baby ought not to be placed in his cot unaccompanied. The adult caring for the baby should look after the child for a while or soothe the back of the baby with gentle strokes of the hand.
I believe this is not the first time a child regurgitates his/her milk. So parents should look out for this probable action on the part of the baby.

Is medicine which can cure in just one day considered good?
This evening, my brother and I talked about how doctors can be wrong and yet be praised and admired by his patients.
There was this doctor who gave medicine so that his patients always get miraculous recoveries. And patients of his would declare,"That doctor is really good. His medicine would get you well in a day."
Imagine that! Just in a day, this doctor could get rid of the sickness. It certainly sounds better than the doctor who took a week or two to cure a sick person. But I just could not stomach the idea that decent and good doctors are considered bad when the doctor with such miraculous cures is considered good.
As a result of being born with a weak and sickly body,I have always had an interest in nutrients, body immunity, the various types of sickness and medicine in general. Through knowledge gained, I understand that when antibiotics are taken to overcome bacteria, the full full course has to be taken to ensure that all bacteria are completely destroyed so that none is left to evolve into stronger bacteria. So, the guy who thinks he is cured after one day's antibiotics could have thrown away the remainder and not complete the course. In time to come, a stronger bacteria may attack his body. Then, the body would need even stronger medicine for a cure.
Besides that, if too strong a dose is given to a patient, knowledge tells me that our own immune system might not be given the chance to work and strengthen itself. That would not be assisting the body to develop even better immunity. Of course, immunity can also be strengthen through a healthy body provided with the right nutrients.
However, doctors who prescribe medicine that is too strong are strongly supported by his patients. I have even heard one to claim,"That doctor is good as he dares to use such a strong dosage." Well, if anyone were to say that it is good to have a really strong dose to cure his sickness, why not resort to steroids. But what happens when sickness returns with even stronger bacteria, will there be anything stronger than steroids to fight it?
Well, that is what I understand of steroids and medicine. I hope those who are sick would finish all the antibiotics provided by their doctors. And do not take steroids unless ordered by their physicians. Those who take excessive steroids can develop Cushing Syndrome, even though Cushing Syndrome caused by the taking of steroids can be treated by stopping the use of steroids and treating the various symptoms it brings.
Well, always consult a good qualified doctor.

Beware! Someone is watching.
Yes, beware! Nowadays, there are many people out there ready to pounce on unwary folks to get easy money. There are so many ways those people could get hold of easy money. Those people would use almost anything to secure whatever they want.
We have read of men paying huge sums of money to find wives in foreign lands. Wanting to have a wife is a very natural instinct but why someone so far away that we have no knowledge of? How can there be love without knowing a person? Sorry, perhaps that is not for me to ask but then, I cannot help but hope those people would be more careful. Perhaps someone out there could write to tell me there can be love without first getting to know the person.
We have also received so many congratulations for winning so many types of draws or lotteries that it sounds as if it is so easy to become a millionaire nowadays. Fortunately for me, I am too stupid to understand how I could claim all that money without getting myself into trouble.
A guy working at a pet-shop in Sungai Petani, Kedah, Malaysia, had a customer who came in to get a packet of dog food and found his car, a BMW, driven away by two men as he was walking out of the shop. The customer rushed through the door but there was nothing he could do then except to make a police report on the matter. Upon being questioned how it was so easy for his car to be stolen, he explained that he left the engine on as the weather was so hot. Of course, with the engine on, the door was not locked and it took less than a minute for the thieves to accomplish their task.
According to the customer, he had five thousand ringgit in the car; money which he had just withdrawn from the bank. We can only come to the conclusion that those thieves were operating from the bank, perhaps loitering around, acting like another bank customer, watching for people who withdraw large sums of cash. They must have seen that man withdraw the money, followed him and waited for the opportunity to deprive the man of his money. The weather and the man's carelessness helped the thieves succeed in their mission.
When it comes to huge sums of money or expensive items, we have to be careful. Such thieves are around us, everywhere and like vultures, they can be ready to strike at any moment. The man in this true story was lucky to have lost just an expensive car and money. Some people have paid for their carelessness with their lives. Even worst, there are those who lost their health or mobility due to such opportunists preying on innocent, unwary folks. So, beware for some vultures out there are eyeing their preys.

Sex and the children.
Yesterday, From the Staronline news I read about three primary school pupils caught by a lady teacher in the act of imitating sexual acts. It was after school hours and the doors of their classroom was closed. However, the teacher noticed that the ceiling fan was on. The pupils fled as the teacher entered the classroom to investigate. A report was made and a girl was sent by her parents for medical check-up to discover that there were old tears in her vagina.
From what has been reported, we can come to the conclusion that the girl involved had been active sexually, either with partners or in masturbation.
Are we to blame the young pupils for their obviously dangerous acts. Such act could lead to early pregnancy and other unfortunate or undesirable consequences which can affect the life and future of the girl concerned. When it comes to the boys, such act could affect their minds, their way of thinking towards women, sex and marriage. Are these children totally to be blamed for such an occurrence?
First, we know that children are curious and would imitate any action they see. As someone said, seventy percent of learning comes from what is observed, twenty percent from listening. So, children see, children want to try it out. What if adults are careless and allow children to see the sex act and hear the sounds of pleasure. The children would certainly want to 'experiment' by imitating the adults, regardless of where such adults are seen, be it the bedroom or the screen. In doing so, in their innocence, they will discover the pleasure of sex. Once it has been committed, they would want more. Can we blame them?
The truth of the matter is that we are all creatures of God, born like any of them, naked and at a certain age, the instinct for propagation comes alive naturally. The only difference humans and other creatures of God is a mind superior to other creatures. We have been given a mind that can think of improvement and ensuring that the human race will develop a system in which every aspect of life is taken care of. Thus, we develop a family system in which people have sex with responsibility, the responsibility of caring for the weak and dependent young whom they have brought into this world with their loving and sex until these youths can achieve their own independence. Humans develop laws to ensure the family system in our society grows progressively better. However, some humans may lose sight and appreciation for such a system, neglecting to instill in their children the need for discipline, respect and right attitudes towards the family and society, resulting in waywardness, disrespect and wrong thinking.
When the behaviour of children are at fault, it is most probably the adults who are to be blamed. Some adults somewhere have led them towards the wrong path. Children are bound to try out things in their curiosity and, more often than not, they get some thrill out of it; a thrill which would have them want to do whatever they have done again, be those things legal, illegal, right or wrong. It is for the adults to be ever vigilant, ready to pull them back from the edge of the cliff onto steady ground, to point out the dangers that a fall from that cliff could bring. In their youth and innocence, they might not see the line between right and wrong distinctly without the guidance of adults.
If more and more of the above case appear, it is time the parents and the children concerned be given a helping hands with counseling before it gets out of control and numbs the consciousness of people towards the effectiveness of our family system. The mind can change and the change can lead to moral decadence. Sometimes, humans are too slow to act and nip the problem in the bud.

Let both sexes know and understand each other.
A religious teacher wrote in a opinions column that ‘in Islam, there are guidelines why boys and girls need to be separated as they grow older – from separate blankets, beds, bedrooms and schools. I think it is in the best interest of the students that we should look into separate secondary girls and boys schools.
When it comes to what a religion forbids, I do not wish to comment as I am neither a scholar nor an expert on such matters. If certain matters are written in a religion’s holy book as a guideline, then those who wish to be the followers must abide by the rules given unless they wish to get out or be considered recalcitrant followers.
However, this religious teacher went further to condemn the western concept of co-education saying that it has contributed to the moral decay in some of our children. That, unfortunately, is something I cannot agree with and therefore has to share my thoughts with others so that right thinking and practices can bring better understanding, development and maturity to world society.
As regards the separation of boy from girls as the grow older when it comes to blankets, beds and bedrooms, I believe every society no matter what religion they profess to believe in, would agree for that is common sense.
But to say that they should go to different schools, I think that would be depriving our children of the opportunity to learn about people of a different sex. And this is something I talk from experience. You see, I was born into a family of boys, no girls. Not only that, I was sent to a single-sex school. I was a pupils of Wellesley Primary School where there were only boys. Then, I was transferred to Hutchings School which was another boys’ school. Then, with all the As in my standard six examination results, I was selected to study in the Penang Free School which is another boys only school.
As a result of my ‘living in a boys-only island’, it took me a long time to understand those alien creatures people called ‘girls’. For an unnecessary period of my life, I was uncomfortably shy and tongue-tied with those ‘beautiful, attractive aliens’. I did not understand the messages behind their smiles and looks. I did not comprehend their slightly different behaviour and talk. With them I did not know when to move forward and when not to. Dating is happiest when I do not care what happens but becomes unpredictable when things get serious. Sometimes, to this day, despite my having overcome a lot of things, I think I still have some problems although I would like to believe I do not have any. And it is useless asking girl-friends whether I have any such problems as they usually prefer to remain somewhat mysterious. On a more positive note, I just know that I am one of those lucky guys who can mix quite well with a good number of girls.
Based on my background and what others had shared with me, I would say that it is important for a person to not live in the proverbial ‘coconut shell’ and not know the opposite sex until it is too late. Poor understanding of the opposite sex can lead to all kinds of misunderstanding and problems, if not danger.
Firstly, by not mixing with the opposite sex, the girls do not know and understand the many different types of boys in our society. The same goes for the boys. Are we going to separate them forever and let them live in different planets? That would then be alright but that would not be life and that would be the end of the human race.
If not, are we going to let them find out for themselves when it is too late? Just like the girl who befriended a boy on her first day to work in a different town and got herself raped that very night? Whose fault was it? Was it the fault of the girl who was never given the opportunity to understand how friendliness with this first boy could lead to disaster? How was she to be able to read the danger signs when she had never been allowed to learn them in some kind of training or education under the supervision of the parents or the teachers? “They said not to mix with the boys but in the world of work, we have no alternative to work with all kinds of people, be they men or women.” Are we going to have them work in a one-sex world all their lives? Is that reality?
The reality is that we are in a world where there is no alternative but to mix and work with people of the opposite sex if we wish to be successful in life, to achieve our dreams undaunted by unrealistic fears. For these fears can be overcome by knowledge, understanding and correct behaviour but certainly not by hiding ones head in the sand like the proverbial ostrich.
Yes, the answer lies in knowledge and understanding leading to right behaviour. When children are young, let them mix among themselves, among the opposite sex under some kind of supervision. Of course, it can incur in the parents some kind of effort or inconvenience but then for the love of our children, it is worth any effort or inconvenience necessary. Let them have their birthday parties, inviting their friends of both sexes to the event under the supervision of at least a pair of conscientious parents. Let them use the house and not go to some undesirable place for the event. Under the watchful eyes of the parents, the children will be under no danger. It will be healthy fun. At the same time there is the chance for our children to know and understand, appreciate and evaluate the various types of people, their thinking and behaviour. They will eventually know the types who can be depended upon for help, those who know only how to enjoy or the types who would take advantage of them. With experience, they would be able to read the characters they meet. So that one day when they have to leave the nest to venture into a world of their own, our children with this knowledge behind them will be, to a certain degree, safe from some of the vultures and bad apples that are amongst us. The fact is that that is unavoidable and we have to prepare our children to be alert and know the ‘potholes’ in their lives.
Of course, no matter how good the training and knowledge, once in a while mistakes are made but with the knowledge the chances of that happening would be slim.
For those who firmly believe that the sexes must be separated, only allowing them to know one person only of the opposite sex for the purpose of marriage, well, if you insist, what can I say. And if it is according to a holy book, I will not say otherwise for it is certainly not wise to do so. However, if you can find what I say of benefit, please set about ensuring that our beloved children be always safe and sound with the proper knowledge to guide them through life.

Life and a house facing a T-junction.
According to Feng Shui Experts, a house facing a T-junction is certainly a problem. They claim it has to do with the forcefulness of the incoming flow of ‘chi’. To prevent the direct flow of this external ‘chi’ into the house, house-owners are advised to build a barrier between the house and the road facing it. I have seen people change the position of the gate, some even rebuilding it at an angle so as to avoid the smooth flow of such ‘chi’ into the house. For a corner house, it would be easier as a gate could be open at the side of the house.
As for me, I have made a study of this problem. To me it is a problem living in a house facing a road running towards the gate. However, the problem for me has nothing to do with feng shui. To me it is the problem of traffic and physical forces of nature.
Each time the occupants of such a house see cars rushing towards their house, there is that survival instinct in them that fears one of those cars crashing out of control straight into the house. It can happen and even if it is a 0.1 percent chance of that happening, the thousandth car which could come along in just a week or two if that road is moderately busy. If the chance of it happening is 0.01 percent, then it might take ten times the one week or two for it to happen. Are the occupants of that house going to stay merely for a week, a month or a year? Well, think about it.
Then again there is the amount of dust that could be brought along by the vehicles, spun up into the air and as the car screeches and turns; the dust goes straight on into the house. With so much more screeching, will it not affect the nerves of the occupants? Those very positive people could claim they would have the opportunity to learn how to control and calm their nerves with meditation perhaps. But then, people who wish to do meditation ought to find a serene spot.
And just when those occupants think they could mercifully close their eyes for the night, the glare from the powerful headlights of a vehicle or two penetrates the window glass brightening up their space to awaken their senses. If it were the middle of the night, what about the frightening shadows that such trespassing light can conjure on the wall of their bedroom. Maybe this part is a little farfetched but nothing is impossible. There goes their proper sleep and rest for the night. So, be sure to find the right house to stay in.
When it comes to the physical forces of nature, a wind blowing down a street towards a house unprotected from its onslaught will of course receive the full force of its might, bringing with it all the dirt and dust it carries along. And if the house is sitting down a sloping street, should there be a flash flood with water rushing down the street, God be merciful but needless to say, the house directly in its path will have no alternative but to accept its rushing torrent as it moves relentlessly forward with increasing momentum.
I am not trying to just put fear into occupants of such houses. I believe that to realise, know and understand your antagonists is to know how to overcome the problems they may present. So, if those people have such a house, think of how the possible dangers and disturbance can be reduced or removed.
In fact, my aim in writing this is not just about a house but about life. Sometimes, in life we find ourselves in unavoidable problematic situations. How do we solve them? It is the same way we approach such a problematic house. Understand the possible problems that may arise and find ways in ourselves (which is within our control) to solve them. Often, people try to solve problems by hoping to change circumstances, by fighting external forces beyond their control resulting in their banging against walls, hurting themselves and arriving at no solution.

Be aware and never expose your beautiful/rugged self.
This morning I read in the staronline about a youth who so innocently masturbated in front of a webcam in order to teach someone he had just got to know in the internet how it was done. Either his kindness, ego or his naivety got the better of him. Whatever it was, that act put him into trouble as the other man threatened to place his masturbation demonstration on the internet unless he agreed to have sex with the other man. Sodomy was probably what the other man had in mind. When he did not agree to the man's request, he was told the alternative was 'a gift' of money. When will such gifts end? Never! That was just the beginning and the end would take a life-time. Extortion is the word for that. And do not be naive to think that women are not capable of extortion.
So, no matter how good you can be at sex, possess sexual parts such as breasts, penis, vagina, buttocks or a fantastic body that can possibly amaze anyone, admire such goodies with a mirror. You can 'ooh' and 'aah' your pleasure with your 'loved ones' or whoever but make very, very sure there are no cameras of any kind around. And nowadays with cameras in handphones, it is so easy for someone to pretend to phone another person when actually that someone could be taking photographs of you in the nude without your being aware of it. So, be really, really careful even with someone whom you think loves you. Well, I need not convince you with my stories as you have certainly read of politicians, artistes and people who find embarrassing nude pictures of themselves on the internet and their 'loved ones' making a disappearing act. And of course, we have to realise, hidden cameras are getting smaller by the day and, perhaps, our room is the only safe place to romp in the nude.
Nowadays, with the computer and the internet, mistakes made cannot be removed as easily as those good old days when photographs and their negatives can be torn and destroyed forever, never to arise to haunt you again. That is the reason I would never allow even my wrinkled old buttocks to be photographed, not even for charity, no, thank you. Who knows what they would use them for.
Well, to be aware of all these possibilities is important even if we believe such things can never happen to us. After all, such things only happen to other people, right? Sorry, I cannot agree to that. Anything is possible, be it good or bad and therefore awareness of everything in and about our surrounding is essential to our good health and happiness. After reading this, you ought not to be as naive as that young man at the beginning of this posting. So, keep your goodies covered from prying cameras. I take a camera along most of the time so who knows when you may see yourself in all your naked glory in this blog. Don't blame me. You have been forewarned.

Don't answer the phone while it is being charged. It could be your last act!
Two weeks ago, i received an email in which I read how a person was electrocuted when his handphone exploded. He had burnt fingers and died from the electricity which flowed from the phone through his body. The electricity came through the charger. He was charging his handphone when it rang. He picked up the phone to answer the caller and that was the last of him.
I want this information to be available to everyone as almost everybody has a handphone nowadays. The above victim died not because of stupidity. Neither was it carelessness. It was just an automatic response to the ringing of the phone. I know for I did do such a thing while my phone was being charged. Without a thought of the possible consequences, i took up the phone and talked for quite some time. Fortunately, nothing untoward happened. I was lucky but if i were to tempt fate once too often, I could also be in the statistic of those who were electrocuted through the use of the handphone while it was being charged.
To be forewarned is to be forearmed. Let us tell our loved ones, our relatives and our friends about what can possibly happen. On my part, I forwarded that email to all my friends. As there was some written condition that the email could not be copied, I did not copied the whole story here for all of you.
Well, things can be useful but such things can be dangerous too in certain circumstances and for the handphone the usage of it during its being charged is one of them.
Take care and be safe.

What kind of an example are the parents?
Have you heard young children shout obscene words as though they were their usual everyday vocabulary?
Have you seen children throw tantrums or shout at their elders as though it is an everyday occurance?
Have you seen children riding motorcycles without licences or crash helmets?
Well, I have and they are never pretty sights. In them, I see rough, uncouth, non-law-abiding people who would most probably one day cause a lot of pain and misery in this world.
The sorry part of it all is that parents are usually the culprit in this sad development of human character. Look deeper a little and we find that it is the parents who practice or allow such behaviour to materialise.
If children use vulgar words from young, they most probably; I give a small percentage to outside influence; come from a home where such words are common place.
Disrespect could only come about when parents do not respect others or neglect their children and allow bad influence to seep in.
As for those children who constantly break traffic rules, I would fault the parents first. When asked how they could allow their children to go around on motorcycles without a protective crash-helmet or a riding licence, many claim the bikes were taken out without the parents' permission.
If the riding of a bike without the parents' permission is a true excuse, then those parents ought to make sure the key to the bike is not available to the children. There are ways to do it. Furthermore, are these parents saying that they could not discipline or control their children, that their children have got out of hand?
Let me tell you an occassion when a friend met me in front of a mechanic's shop and was telling me about his insurance and road-tax renewal. Along came another guy who knew this friend. Upon being told what my friend was doing there, the man told my friend there was no neccessity of getting an insurance. Why spend the money? According to the guy, he had been going around on his bike for more that eight years without an insurance or a road-tax. The unbelievable part was his imparting this knowledge with some pride. Imagine that! No road-tax for eight years and the SHORT ARM of the law was unable to reach him! Should he knock down and kill a child or somebody, would he not just escape in order to save his own skin instead of seeking help for the injured? And the injured could die without immediate medical treatment!
Just imagine what kind of a person would break the law and consider it nothing the risk of having no insurance. I would consider such a person irresponsible.
What kind of an example would such a parent be to his children? No wonder we have so many reckless 'Mat Rempits' or 'road-devils' committing all kinds of illegal acts on our roads, graduating slowly to crime. There would be injuries and deaths. And when these young people die, what is the cause? It is the negligent parents.
Yes, such negligent parents allow things to deteriorate and worsen to such a degree that the problem has become too much for them to handle. It most probably started as something small, a joy ride perhaps. Then, there is the dangerous parental pride upon seeing their young child's ability to handle a bike, even though awkwardly. Convenience could also be a factor; getting children to run errants like buying sundry goods from a nearby shop; fetching the purchase quickly on a motorbike. Indiscipline leads to giving in to demands. Soon, the use of the motorbike is an acceptable occurance.
Did these parents ever think of safety? Can young minds be matured enough not to allow the impulse to speed overcome them? I know of at least one case, my own class monitor, where death came due to such speeding as a way to show off.
I was sad when I heard how the driver of the lorry, he crashed into while trying to overtake it as an oncoming car was approaching, was so mad with his behaviour that he spit into the young boy's body. The right or wrong of such accidents is not for me to consider. I did not see it happen. I merely heard from other students.
Do we want children to die this way even before they had the chance to be matured enough to have some control over themselves? We, as parents, are responsible to bring them up correctly. It is the most important duty in the world.

Emergency number worldwide for GSM mobile.
Yesterday, a friend sent me the following information which I believe can be useful for everybody, not just for the ladies. After all, the robbers are after just anybody’s money. With unknown dangers lurking at every turn in our lives, it is good to arm ourselves with some knowledge and awareness. Let us be aware of what can happen. Awareness and knowledge, knowing what can happen and how such attacks can come about, help us to react faster and protect ourselves better and what number to call in an emergency. So, please read on.
Ladies especially(Blogger’s note:Not just the ladies.)...please, please read!
It's 112 not 999!
A young lady was robbed and slashed on the face two days ago in Taman Desa.
She just got out of her car and was in front of her friend's house pressing the door bell when she saw a motorbike with two men coming towards her direction. She thought they were security guards. Then before she realized it, one of the men has already slashed her face with a knife and grabbed her bag. She didn't know it was a cut until she touched her face and found out it was bleeding. She was screaming out of shock. One of the man came back (they were already on the motorbike and were ready to leave) and tried to slash her again. Luckily she was able to catch his hand and hold on to it to stop the strike. At that time, her friend came out to check what was happening and the men quickly rode away.
The cut was 9 cm long and 1 cm deep. Look at those robbers' tactic! It is to hurt you first before they rob you so that you are handicapped with an injury and cannot resist them. Even later, when there is someone to help, the helper or helpers have to rescue you first instead of chasing them. Please be alert all the time and take every precautionary measure possible.
Do you know the Emergency Number?
Please be aware the Emergency Number worldwide for GSM Mobile (012, 013, 016, 017, 019) is 112 and not 999.
You can dial 112 even without a Sim Card. If you find yourself out of coverage area of your mobile network and there is an emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to establish the emergency number for you. Do share this important info with your family members and friends.
